Constance now has a way for you to stay more connected than ever with the church. It’s called My Constance Online. If you have given the church an email address for your household, you will be invited in to do the following:

• Share your personal contact information with others in an online church directory
• Edit your personal contact information as it changes
• Access your personal giving record at any time online

If you are an attender who is in the church database, but have not given us a valid email address, call or email Jane Hanson (our Office Manager) and request your “User ID Number.” You will receive an email with that number and instructions on how to get a system generated password that will allow you to log into My Constance Online.

After you login, you will land on the My Constance Online home page that has three other tabs. These are in a different order but for the sake of communication and learning, it is easier to understand them in this order:

• Personal Profile
• Directory
• Contribution History

the personal profile tab

This will give you current contact information (name, address, phone, email) that we have for members of your family. Please review this and edit it to help us keep it accurate. 

 If you are the head of your household (husband, if married) you will have one added section called Directory Security in the lower left hand side of your profile. This allows you to decide if you want your family in the directory or not. Inherit My Rights allows your family members to edit or add to their personal profile if checked. If not, only you can add or edit. 

Allowing your profile or your family in the directory does not give others access to your giving record. Only you can access this. The directory tab as described below has no giving records in it. Your giving records reside in a different part of the database that only you can access. 

Making your personal profile available to others helps build community at Constance. Please consider doing this for the benefit of yourself and others. Keeping your personal profiles accurate facilitates communication with your family by the church staff and your friends. Read on to see how useful this can be. 

the directory tab

Under this tab you can access a directory of all those families who have made their personal profiles accessible to others. You can click on a letter and pull up all those families whose last names begin with that letter. Or you can search by last name or first name and find the name, address, home phone number, or email address of your friends. 

To search by last name, just write in the first few letters of their last name. 

There are some other added features to this:

• Click on their name and you can also get their birthday or cell phone number if they have given us that information.
• Click on their home address and Yahoo maps will launch so you can see where they live.
• Click on their email address and begin an email message.

For another search idea, let’s say you met a Kathy in the café on Sunday AM but can’t remember her last name. Search by first name, put in Kathy, and you will pull up every Kathy in the database who has allowed their data into My Constance Online. There may be enough other information there for you to get back in touch with her by phone or email if you would like to. 

Please note: The church directory is only to be used to foster your church relationships in the context of the ministry and teaching of the church and not for solicitations to promote a business, political ideology, or even your personal theology. 

the contribution history tab

Click on this tab if you would like to access or print your giving statement. As stated before, only you have access to your giving information and the security is controlled by your login. Your records may be in the name of you and your spouse, and you both have access. 

The database allows us to give you up to three years of history. However, we just started using this database in January of 2009, so that is the current extent of your information. If you want any detailed information prior to January 1, 2009, please email jhanson@constancefree.org. 

Note that the report begins with all of your giving for the current year. But you can set the beginning and ending day of the report. If you change the dates, click on view and this will launch a new statement than can be viewed or printed.
